Terms of use
These terms are an agreement between you and CE Code Designs Ltd (Code Designs Ltd), a company established in Cyprus (“we”), for your use of the Moraki app. By using Moraki you accept them. How we handle your data is set out in our privacy policy.
1. Moraki is not medical advice
Moraki is a notebook. It records what you type and adds it up. It is not a medical device, it does not give medical advice, and it is not a substitute for your pediatrician, midwife, nurse or any other health professional.
It never tells you what a number means: there are no warnings, ranges or scores. Reading those numbers is your clinician's job. Take them to your appointments, or read them out on the phone.
If you are worried about your baby now, contact your doctor or your local emergency number (112 in the EU). Do not wait for an appointment, and do not wait for the app.
Reminders, totals and summaries depend on what was logged and on your phone's settings. They can be late, missing or wrong if an entry was missed, a phone was off or notifications are turned off. Don't rely on Moraki alone for anything time-critical, such as when medication is due.
2. Who can use Moraki
Moraki is for adults caring for a baby. You must be 18 or over to use it. If you create an account, use an email address you control and keep your phone secure, ideally with a passcode.
3. Households and caregivers
- A household is shared by the people in it. Its owner invites others with a single-use code and can remove them. Each person the owner invites either logs entries or only views them.
- Everyone in a household sees the same entries and who logged them. Only invite people you are happy to share your baby's record with.
- If you leave a household or delete your account, the entries you logged in a household that others share stay there, shown as logged by someone who has left, because they are part of the other caregivers' record too. If you were the only owner, you choose who becomes owner before you go.
- Someone removed from a household loses access to it on our servers. A copy already on their phone stays there, and we cannot remove it.
4. What you log
What you enter is yours. You give us permission to store, sync and process it only to run Moraki for you and your household, as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for what you type, including anything you write about other people, such as a clinician's name in an appointment.
5. Using Moraki fairly
Don't:
- try to reach a household or data that isn't yours, or guess invite codes;
- interfere with the service, overload it, or get around its security;
- use Moraki to harass anyone or to store anything unlawful;
- copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
6. Price
Moraki is free. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. If we ever offer paid features, we will tell you first, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
7. The service
Moraki works without signal and syncs when it can, usually within seconds. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or improve features. If we ever stop offering Moraki, we will give you notice and time to export your data.
8. Ending
You can stop using Moraki at any time, and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk; where we can, we will tell you why first.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made from what Moraki shows, for loss caused by entries that were missing, late or wrong, or for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. If you live in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country, and you can bring a claim in its courts.
11. App stores
If you downloaded Moraki from the App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google, and their store terms also apply to your download. Apple and Google are not responsible for Moraki or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
12. Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can stop using Moraki and delete your account.
